will i be a good basketball player?

My biggest dream is to either play NBA or play MLS. OK, I suck at soccer and I'm much better at basketball. I'm 12 and I've got a lot of time to practice basketball. But, sometimes I make 3 out of 20 free throws. I haven't improved very much. I really I have a very strong shooting arm but I overshoot the ball. Last year, I didn't make my middle school basketball team. The team ended up going 1-9 because they had the worst defense in our league. I have a very soild defense as my P.E. teacher told me and I can nail almost every 3-pointer I shoot with my strong arm but thats not what the basketball coach looks at. he just looks at layups(i'm working on them), free throws(my grandma can shoot better free throws than me), and dribbling(I just can't dribble the ball with my right because i'm left handed). I hope the coach puts three pointers and defense in the tryouts if not maybe I'll have to join a local community team. Maybe my high school coach will have a better tryout system.

I say keep trying sounds like u have a real passion 4 it!! If its not u then find the second option the u would like to go 4!!

from what I've heard, no....keep working on it though. If you can't make it in middle school then it will be virtually impossible for you to make it in high school. keep trying, maybe go to a basketball camp to help out your overall skills.

yes but i would practice alot. high school basketball team does not want to have a bad player who cant do anything really good.

Dude, STOP working on what you are good at, and START working on what you suck at...you shouldnt be shooting threes if you cant make a layup, or DRIBBLE with your right hand....

you wont get a three if you cant dribble........
most NBA players were already Advanced at this when they were your age...
