Scholes is getting injured a lot so he isn't playing but he's not retired (i think) but it's a shame Alan Shearer had to retire before the end of the season because of injury.

I took it at face value respecting the reasons cited by them because i have IMMENSE respect for both players - Paul Scholes, Alan Shearer belong to a rare breed of players BETTER than most of the 'world's football galacticos'... because theirs is a genuine "duty and devotion" to fans, club, and country.

Where have you heard about Scholes retiring? And why would you compare the retirements of Alan Shearer, the English Premier League's greatest ever goal scorer, and Paul Scholes, the premier League's Gingerest small-knackered goon who hasn't played a decent ball for 3 years?
