gerrard for some reason is seen as an amzing player. but isnt that fantastic. Frank lampard scores more goals and gets more assits (sets up goals) every season. Gerrard is ok. out of 100 i would give him 80. so a low A. He needs to work on scoring more goals to compete with lampard. Also he needs to not 'disappear' in big matches. he has a habit of playing in matches and people dont realise he even played cos he so shit he did nothing.































Thing with gerrard compared to lampard is this. if gerrard scores a goal he is world player of year. if lampard scores 10 every1 calls him shit.































so to answer your question. one of best players in world - no i dont tink so. best players in world = henry, ronaldinho, eto'o, drogba, cech and ronaldo.

He has scored some very 'crucial' goals. The one he scored to get Liverpool out of the group stage against Olympiakos in 2004/05, when they went on to win the Champions league was worth conservatively $60 million (they got an extra $20 million just by making the quarters in TV rights) - this with a minute to play.































then the stoppage time equaliser against West Ham in the 2006 FA Cup final.































He is solid and has come through in a crunch. Day in day out for other clubs people are better - but he has earned his legend status in just those two goals (and his money)

In fact, if you create a World XI team, I don't think Steven Gerrard can make the first team. Too many way better, much gifted players out there. But because he's English, he's hyped up. And because he plays for Liverpool, even more so...
