Do you English not realise that qualifying for Euro 2008 will be a...

...backward step for the English team? You have a manager who is unable to choose whether he has butter or marmalade on his toast, or bread or is it a cracker in the morning. His differing on a Dads Army scale has brought what is supposed to be one of the World`s top 10 football nations to the embarassing position of having to rely on a piss poor country like Isreal and a slightly less piss poor country like Croatia to bail it out of self inflicted wounds in a Group where it appeared to be only one decent team in it. England. Just be glad you didn`t have France, Italy and Ukraine in your group because you would have been out in the summer.
Robert Scotland started as the fourth seeded team in a group with three teams from last years World Cup. Two of the three teams contested the World Cup Final. Scotland almost pipped Italy and France to the finals of Euro 2008. I am proud of the way Scotalnd have performed over the last 15 months. Your lot have come up against who exactly in qualifying. Thats right no one of consequence and you are making a mess of escaping from an easy group.
Misty welcome doll. I bet you thought only Rankers fans got the sharp end of my football tongue.
Well Robert you are a sellout. The worst kind in anyones language.

getting in by chance as 2nd in their group, means they be playing a team who has topped their group next.so if they scrape through tomorrow expect a big embarasment next time around. And dont open your mouth too quick, croatia still might roast them.If they do,the duo of incompetents will be unemployed by saturday.which brings us back to the real problem.incompetent, indiferent managers for the last 20 years since the nearest chance of all with bobby robson,86 was it ?

I agree it'd be a disaster but i'm 85% England will qualify. Sack McClaren after then everything will resolve itself. As i've said on the Answers pages before though - why is McClaren number 2 to Venables who is one of the very best manager's we've ever had since winning the World Cup in 1966?.

The unmistakable whiff of smouldering Scot!...

Get over it. Whatever happens to England, Scotland went down in their usual blaze of pretentiousness and BS.

ADDED:

Mid...whatever

I am a Scot

I agree. I'm English and I'm sick to death of us being built up to be something we're not. We're an average team with a scattering of good players (and even they haven't performed when it really matters). We are in the weakest group in the qualifying campaign and not only do we play badly, but we talk about Russia and Croatia like they're world beaters. They will get no where near winning the Euro's let's be honest.
If we qualify, and it's not happened yet, I pray that they get rid of that idiot manager and put someone in place who might actually get the players working as a team. If we don't, we'll just embarrass ourselves once again when we have to play any half-decent team.

maybe your right ? "just maybe" but still i take it you will be cheering on ENGLAND in euro 2008 ( or are you like most Scots and hate the English). and then you wonder why the English are laughing at little bonny ( unlucky NOT ) Scotland. its like the lottery you got to be in it to win it. have fun
