Would you prefer the World Cup to be played each 2 years or each 4 years?

Like the others said it would be great as a fan but not for the players...besides it takes at least three years if not more for the country to prepare for the big event, look at South Africa they still have along way to go!!

No I like it how it is. Those tournaments take a lot of effort to prepare so they can't do it every 2 years. Plus it makes it a bigger deal who wins cause you gotta wait every 4 years. The best players play in only 3. It's not for sure whether or not every one of us will be alive for 2010 or 2014 so it's our privilege to witness it. Yes I do think it would overshadow the CL a bit.
Plus they need time for qualifying. Those players can't play that many games. They're not machines.

No, and i think i answered this Q at least 10 times, but not in past few months.
Look, as a fan i would love watching WC in every 2 years, but i think even that would not last long, since it would become a rutine and i would kinda got enough of WC's that often.
Also you need to get all the qualifications in time if it's on every year a big competition:
1st)You don't have time for qualifications!
2nd)Country don't have time to prepares
So it would not be really good.
I like the way it is now on 4 years and like Pepe said, we have every year a big competition.And + you can't wait for WC and the more you wait the more u want it!
So definetely it should stay on 4 years!

Edit:Still even with your ideas, it just would not work out, and i think it would decrease the popularity of football!
We can't just go around and play with stuffs man...

I think you have forgotten that there are 208 countries trying to qualify for the world cup. It takes nearly three years to get down to the final 32. You will never see it every two years, it's just physically impossible.

That would be too impractical. First, there are about 200+ countries that would compete and finishing the qualifying round in a year would exhaust the players. Second, the host country would have too little time to prepare everything in the competition: hotel accomodations, security preparations, stadium facilities etc. And third, players would be burdened with injuries and exhaustion after each World Cup and Euro due to a heavy schedule as they would also have duties to fulfill with their clubs.

Secondly there are competitions outside Europe that such as Copa America and ....
Thirdly THINK OF THE PLAYERS 70 GAMES EVERY YEAR???WHAT ABOUT THE QUALIFIERS??
EVERY FOUR YEARS IS FINE!!!!!!!!

that will be a good idea to have those tournament played every 2 years instead of 4 years but a lot of factors need to be taken into consideration before implementation.
