how many games each do teams have to play to qualify for their group?

all teams from Group B to Group G will play 12 matches in their respective qualifying group to qualify for the 2008 UEFA European Championship finals. teams which were drawn in Group A, however have to play 14 matches as the group contains 8 teams compared to other groups will contains 7 teams.

ARMENIA & AZERBAIJAN which were drawn in Group A will only play 12 matches as their qualifying matches against each other were cancelled by UEFA as both teams could not agree on match venues.

there were only 14 qualifying places up for grabs as AUSTRIA & SWITZERLAND have qualified for the finals as the joint host nations. the qualifying matches will conclude on Wednesday, 21 November 2007 when all 14 qualifying places are all known.
