| A Scotland-Italy screening at Glasgow Green sold out in minutes! This game is HUGE... will mean whether Italy are out! I hope Scotland win i hate the Italians as they play poor football... ![]() The Scotland manager Alex McLeish has named a full-strength Scotland team for the Thursday Nov. 17 game at Hampden Park. "The squad pretty much picked itself," McLeish said. "It's a shame we need to leave people out, but this has been the nucleus for the last few games and we go into battle with these guys. "I am looking for one final effort. I totally trust them and they trust each other. We have a fantastic chance." Although Scotland doesn't have any individual stars, McLeish has assembled a squad of players who perform above themselves against the top teams. The Scots beat France 1-0 home and away. "When I pick the 18 on the day, those not selected will be disappointed," he said. "Then those who aren't starting the game will also be disappointed. But the good thing is they all support each other." |

| “This is a great result for them and keeps them first in the group with every chance of qualifying†said the Chelsea frontman, who was his own team's prospects go up in flames. The Scots need four points in their last two games against Georgia and Italy to be assured of a place in the Euro finals in Austria. "It is a very tough group, but everything is in Scotland's hands," he said. "They have two very important games left which everything now depends on." Alex Mcleish’s men have been the surprise package as most expected France and Italy to qualify unchallenged from the group. "Scotland are a good team and this is a big success for the country and the national side," said the former Milan striker. |
