Do American Soccer teams ever compete against other worldwide soccer teams (other

than World Cup)? Also, how often are World Cup games played? I saw them on ESPN last year but it hasn't been on this summer.

Is it the general opinion that the US doesn't have any good soccer teams? Which US team is considered best (I'm guessing LA Galaxy because they got Beckham).

I'm very new to following soccer, as I'm sure you can tell by these questions.

The World Cup is every 4 years both for men and women. I'm not sure which US team is better since I don't watch professional soccer too much anymore.

First of all, it's call football, not soccer. Second, USA doesn't have any good football teams. Real football it's played in Europe, South America, Asia or Africa. Just go back to your baseball, hockey or american football, and leave our sport to the professionals. Let's face it, you suck at football and there is nothing you can do about it.

Yes, they just played a Concacaf tournament with other soccer teams, and they have also competed in one of the South American tournaments (I think the Libertadores).
