that was mad suprising
because everyone was sure argentina had it

but i must say brazil did his thing

they always start real bad but them they get better
is like a tradition

argentina had there whole team like older experienced players

and Brazil had like 20-25 year old kids

Brazil. And I couldn't believe it. With Tevez, Messi, Rique., Javier, Cambiasso, Ayala, Veron, you name it, they couldn't control, let alone subdue Brazil. The abnormal scoreline (in a final between two heavyweights) is one thing. The manner in which it was accomplished was another. Argentina had absolutely nothing. Not a prayer the entire second half and the match could have gone on for a week without them hitting the target. It was that bad.

Where did it all go so wrong. Was it the weather, the pitch, the ref. Was it the tactics. You certainly cannot compare rookie Dunga to Alfio Basile. No excuses here. I think it was the whole set up.

I always had a problem with overloaded football teams and the finals proved that team work and not (absolutely) player quality ultimately decides the outcome of matches. A world XI wouldn't necessarily lift the world cup.
