Is this world cup going to change the way Americans that are not soccer

fans feel about sport of soccer? As many know soccer or as I know the sport to be "Football" is not a very big sport American's eyes. I feel this world cup which will be telavised on ESPN and all 64 games not just the Us games or just the finals. ESPN has made a huge contract with Fifa and other organizations such as UEFA champions league. And on Footballs great's stage the World Cup what better way to get fans of all countries to join in on the fun and greatness of the sport. I feel this World Cup will open many people's eyes to the game and will become highly respected in America and we might even begin to see an overflow of famous Europeans Footballers in the MLS. Which have set sights to expand not only the league but the league players.Tell me your own personal opinions.

I think it will attract more people in the US to European football but it will never be the dominant sport. As such, the league will not have the money to afford European superstars. The MLS si fairly small, not all of their games are broadcast, and it will take a long time before football/soccer will become the 2nd sport, behind American football. Right now basketball, baseball, and hockey get more airtime on TV.
