Premiership Footballs gone mad

I think its absolutely hilarious that citeh are now the richest club.
Will be so funny when Ronaldo goes to play for City and helps them win
titles and Champions League trophies. I've already started winding up
my manure supporting mate.

Good luck to them I say. Will make a change from the usual man u
arsenal and occasional other team like chelsea or blackburn winning
stuff.

It's not the Premiership that I have a problem with. I think its great
that England has the strongest football league in the world. Lets face
it, if Sepp Blatter and Michelle Platini are hacked off with English
soccer we must be doing something right. I believe it all comes down
to jelousy. They are jealous that "at the moment" England has the
richest, biggest, best and most sucessful league. That's the only
reason they are making noise about it and tryinig to limit our foreign
players or coming out with ridiculous communist proposals about salary
caps.

I think perhaps English clubs as well as other top continental teams
should break away from UEFA and form their own new cup/league
competition in addition to their own domestic bread and butter
leagues.

I think that these rich ruskies, sheikis and yankees coming in to buy
our sports clubs has been on the whole good business. It has brought
in a lot of needed funding. So when Chelsea buy a bunch of players
from continental teams at inflated prices, they often have a few they
don't need or were it doesn't work out, and those players get sold on
for cheaper prices to other English clubs. That benefits the whole
league IMHO. It kind of helps to even things out and bring a bit of
balance. At least clubs like City are doing it with the backing of a
rich zillionaire. We fucked up big time and tried to do it with a
business failure chairman "peter ridsdale" and his credit card. Look
where that put us.

Now can someone tell me what happened to our rich sheiki? We're fed up
of Kentucky Fried Chicken!

I imagine that within a very short space of time Man City will become
the most hated and despised club in English football, and it will all
come down to jealousy and envy just the same way as it did for
Chelsea.

In the last couple of days, Man City have demonstrated a tremendous
amount of ambition and I'm certain they will break into the top 4
straight away. The Premiership will no longer be limited to 3 teams
possibly winning and the 2 teams it was before that with Man U/Arsenal
then Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal all capable. Now it's going to be Man
U/Chelsea/Arsenal/Man Citty. Those teams will now be the big four
teams capable of winning the league instead of the previous limit of 2
or 3.

Teams like Liverpool and Everton will always have a very slim outside
chance unless they can also get their own rich zillionaire. At the
same time as the Blue Moon proving they are now one of the big boys,
Newcastle proved why they are one of the small teams and always will
be. The board as well as Denise Wise and his supporters were circling
Keegan like a pack of wolves and backstabbers.

Having the same sort of system as big clubs on the continent with a
footballing director buying and selling all the players with the team
manager just responsible for coaching, doesn't work in this country.
The manager needs to have responsibility of which players he brings in
or moves on. Without that you can't form your team and get them to
gel, because its not your team and not where you want the club to go.
It's the reason Chelsea lost Mourinho and haven't won a thing since.
It's also the reason why Tottenham have gone down hill and now while
Newcastle will follow suit. It's because the managers power has been
greatly deminished and erroded to the point were they have little
influence and can't do much to improve the team when you have no
choice or freedom in who comes and who goes. Newcastle are stuffed but
its exciting times ahead for Man City and English football.

Now instead of complaining that its not fair the Premiership has so
much money and that football has gone mad just because a rich sheik
has taken over a premiership club and made them the richest in the
world(?) with a possible half trillion in purchasing power, why not
fight for more of the money to be filtered down to lower leagues to
help improve those leagues and e.g. prevent the Championship from
slipping too far away from the Premiership in terms of competition?

A Leeds fan trying to wind up a Utd supporter?
Jeez, that's like a hunter trying to bring down a Bull Elephant with a pea
shooter. If your "so called" mate can be wound up by the football equivalent
of the bloke in the Mr Muscle advert he's no Man Utd supporter!

What are you on about? I'm not trying to wind up myself and I am a

they have a number of different teams in their shithole.

He definitely is believe me. He's not from this country he's French,
he doesn't live in Manchester but further away, plus he also supports
two other teams, one in lower English divisions and one back in
France. So I think that pretty much qualifies him being a scum fan

BTW I'd hardly class Scum as a Bull Elephant, more like effluent. The
bloke in mr muscle adverts looks a lot like the typical scum fan to me
except for the skin colour being white.

All hail he biggest team in Manchester - "Manchester City".
