Simple answer, NO. Yes I know Palace are a local club and in fact my really
local club when I was a lad in the sixties was Dulwich Hamlet-yes alas poor
scoopex. But during those years United captured my heart. I onlt visited
Selhurst Park once to see United beat them 3-1 (Law , Sadler and Charlton
got the goals -I believe, without refreshing my memory)and that was right at
the end of that great sixties team. But tell me Count, why does Juan ask?

I was just thinking that if you had it in mind to watch a game of
football then Palace is close (almost) at hand. Saying that I dare say
Fisher Athletic are closer and cheaper to follow, if you simply want to
watch a game of football that is.

Did you know I knew a bloke from Jamaica who lived in West Norwood
called Isla White which sounded very similar to Isle Of Wight. I just
wondered if you might have seen him out on the piss !

No: I never go out on the piss. I stay in on the piss but never out.
Isn't Isla a female name? I think as usual you are making it up.

The Eve of the War

Lawrence Jenkins presented the following explanation :

Not at all Larry and I only presumed that it was spelled that way. It
could very well have been Ila.
