scoopex illuminated alt.sports.soccer.everton by typing:

What a pile of hoop.

Here's a survey I've just conducted.

Survey's are absolutely fucking pointless unless conducted by a
relevant authority.

Who the fcuk are Drivers Jonas Sports.
Aaaah....

Property fucking consultants...that's who. Well bugger me, that must
be highly fcuking accurate then.

ANFIELD RATED BEST ATMOSPHERE

After serious thinking Le Dieu wrote :

You had to be there to see it. The Gunners would be away and there was
a chance to see some of the bigger clubs there.

Another song was QPR tra lala lala QPR tra lala lala

I took an Italian relative and he ran off before the game started
because a mounted copper went after some Utd fans.

He had a bad day because he never saw a plastic pitch before, the match
was a draw as I recall.

My first United game was QPR away. 1976 as I recall. Lost 1-0.

Did you ever see a game on their artificial pitch?? Christ, that was awful.
Good ground though, in the away terrace you were about 6foot from the goal.
I remember David "Spunky" Seaman and his pony-tail getting an absolute ton
of stick at those games, he took it well though. Didn't have much choice
with 10,000 away fans within sausage-roll and spitting distance, I suppose.

"Brucie, whats the score?". Ahhh, great days.

I think I saw 1 in the flesh, if memory serves. FA Cup game, the birth of
Fergie's Fledglings. 2-2. I remember a young United player being played
through from the half way line for a 1-on-1 with spunky, all the time in the
world, spunky started clapping his hands together as the player was running
towards him, and it did the trick, the easy chance was fluffed. I think that
was artificial pitch but I wouldn't swear to it.

Very tricky getting out of the ground from the away end. Only one 8 foot
gap, very nearly a very bad incident after that game.

The poll, conducted by property consultants Drivers Jonas Sport amongst the
girls in the typing pool and the y.t.s boys in the stockroom, ranked
Liverpool's famous stadium ahead of the likes of Real Madrid's Bernabeu and
Barcelona's Nou Camp, which was the highest-placed side from mainland Europe
in fifth place. also the cleaning staff were polled but thier opinion didn't
count.
