The fact is the U.S Team media likes to talk silly. If I remeber correctly their "future" was based on Freddy Adu a player that got famous cause he was compared to Pele. Now everybody pays attention to this Altidore kid. So what if U.S can beat Mexico in their country. When they play Argentina and Brazil they get owned badly. You want to talk about talent and winning the world cup? U.S couldn't beat Colombia who at the last quarter of the match had no goalie. They DID NOT qualify for the 1st round of the world cup in 2006. They DID NOT qualify for the 1st round of the Copa America. I am NOT going to consider to gold cup because first they won by luck penalty, faced countries that aren't even aknowledged as good teams other than Mexico. STOP ITS ANNOYING AND NOT EVEN FUNNY TO SUGGEST U.S WOULD WIN THE WORLD CUP in 2010!U.S best record in a world cup was semifinals WHEN THEY ONLY HAD 10 TEAMS The best countries got where they are today because they spent more time playing than talking.

im sick of it too im with you all the way man! Usa is scared to face mexico in mexico becuause they knoe they will lose. Usa thinks they are the best time team ever how come they cant beat brazil and argentina ? Usa should stick to their sports like baseall and football and basketball which nobody plays becuause they know in soccer anyody can beat them

Friendy games are a lot different than a game where something is on the line. Like a world cup game. Coaches will try things in a friendly that they would not in a competitive match. Players are not as motivated in a friendly as they are in a competitive game. So don't worry about it. When the Mexicans and central Americans are the majority in the USA. Football will not be called soccer and it will be the number one sport.

I haven't heard a soul say the US would win 2010. Realize that this country needs time to grow its program. When any team plays Argentina or Brazil they get "owned" you are talking about the best two footballing countries. I am in no way saying the US is great or even good for the record. But what I will say is that they are competetive. I don't know that I have heard on member of the team thinking that they are amoung the elite sides in the world.

we're great at football, dude. an american team wins the superbowl every year. what you're talking about is soccer, a so called 'sport' that we couldn't care less about. we don't even WANT to win a soccer championship, it would only make us what? the gayest country on earth? no thanks, keep that soccer crap in europe where it belongs. it's a kids game here, it looks odd to us to see grown men playing it.
