Aurelio was not born in Turkey and he did not grow up there. He only plays for them b/c he is not good enough to play for Brazil. Do you think that should be legal? I think it is very unfair!

Please do not cite countries such as Germany or France as an example. As far as I know all of their players were either born there or grew up there. Meaning they already had citizenship before age 18 and before they knew that they were great football players. That is not the case with Aurelio!
Asamoah came to Germany when he was a kid. Vieira may have been born somewhere else, but he grew up in France. The people who said that are obviously missing the point. Aurelio did not grow up in Turkey and has not been playing for Turkey for 10 years. He just got his citizenship less than 2 years ago and came to Turkey at the age of 24 or 25.
actually, he obtained turkish citizenship in 2006. so your info is off.

sometimes if a player wasnt born or raised in the country they play for it miqht be because one of their parents were raised or born in that country. & if that is the case you can qet a citizenship for that country

You numpty, as long as he is a citizen and has not played for Brasil, then he can play for any of his other countries. As for not citing Germany, why not?! You remember Asamoah from Ghana?? He played for them at the 2002 World Cup.

All that is necessary is to be a citizen of that country. As for not citing countries such as France i just want to add that Patrick Veiera was born in Senegal. Another example is Eduardo da Silva who is Brazilian but a Croatian citizen.

Well, as an American, I can't say much:

Benny Feilheiber---Brazil
Freddy Adu---Ghana
Pable Mastroeini---Argentina
Jozy Altidore---Haiti

But honestly, I don't feel bad about it----all the guys above honestly think of themselves as Americans now. The FIFA rule that says that once you play for one national team you can never change and play for another kind of makes it seem all right.

Aurileo has been playing in Turkiye over than 10 years. We can say that, he started his professional live in Turkey. And he loves to play for Turkey. So there is no problem..

There are so many samples of this kind of players...

Also there are too many Turkish players playing in other countries. This is not problem too....

By the way, Mehmet Aurelio can speak Turkish fluently as well.
