Is U.S.A developing in the world of football? First off I am an American. My parents came from Mexico and football or futbol as we call it has been my favorite sport since a kid. I love watching international teams play especially Mexico vs U.S.A. I always cheer for Mexico it just becomes natural since its the team that I've seen for the longest time. But that doesn't mean I leave my native country behind. I'm starting to see football become very accepted more and more. And the U.S.A team has been giving good results. The only problem is the American media but thats not football. I would love it if someone from a veteran football nation would give me their views of the U.S.A team. Ex: Brazil Germany England Portugal France etc

Is U.S.A developing in the world of football? the US will catch up to the rest of the world in futbol, but the passion will never be there like in the other players, because growing they see basketball goals in the drive-ways and boys playing catch either with a glove(baseball) or a football(american), btutalent wise the US has some amazing talent and should be able to do some damage in the future but the passion will never be there

Is U.S.A developing in the world of football? Im from England and in my opinion the American football team sucks to be honest. Most of their better players only have to ability to play in average English league teams. The MLS is also considered to be extremely poor and many see the MLS as an equivalent to friendly or exibition games with not a particulary high fitness level needed in comparison to european leagues and the players are not even close to the majority in europe in quality and intelligence. For example, when playing for the national team, David Beckham could play the ball through and someone would run on to it but in America he only plays simple passes to feet because they don't have to intelligence to play like that. Sorry, don't want to discredit American football (soccer) but thats the truth in my opinion

Is U.S.A developing in the world of football? ok well im from England and also love football, i support Manchester United and of cors England. My overall view of USA's football team is they have good players and on their day are a really good team, ive seen them play a few times on tv and yeah as i say they are a good team and have some good players. however most of their top players do play in the european leagues, so the american leagues and club teams such as LA Galaxy are really not that good and here in England we kinda take the piss outa it and call it the micky mouse league. The best player u have in the american leagues in probly Beckham at the minuite, and we think he's past his best 2bh. They cannot compete with players like c.ronaldo, rooney, kaka, ronaldinho..ect because they dont have the money european clubs have

Is U.S.A developing in the world of football? I'm from Argentina and to answer your question the USA is getting better. Its going to take at least two more decades for the USA to get at the level of a top ten team in the World. The good about it that immigration is helping soccer a lot. Let face it, most of the fans in MLS are Hispanic, but if you look at the new generations more American kids are learning and falling in love with the game. By the way did you see that friendly game against Argentina, 86,000 plus people that is great at any nation!!!! Be patience I being in the USA since 1989 and I have seeing the USA make a lot of improvements but there is a lot more to be done. By the way ignore English fans, they are Ignorant about Football facts, a nation that has not won in 40+ and fail to qualify (again fail to qualify LOLOLOLOLO) should be ignore. Some how they believe they are a top 10 team, dream on England Dream on!!! lololo

Is U.S.A developing in the world of football? The USA has a very solid soccer team but they lack better forwards and are counting on Altidore to be the one to fix that. I always cheer for USA w/e i watch them play and seems they have good young talent. As for the media in the US, they try not to talk about soccer a lot and when they do its usually a smart remark. They are not getting the coverage by the media that they deserve but at least its more than before. The interest by the general public seems to be taking baby steps forward, and things will only get better for soccer in the USA.
