Why do people think USA is better than Mexico in soccer (footbal)?

I understand that usa has won the recent games but how come they dont have the guts to play outside of the USA? how many world class players does the usa have that have played or do play with world class teams such as Barcelona and Real Madrid? and dont say tim howard. I dont think any american player has ever won the champions league... Mexico has around 5 players in world class teams such as barca they have Rafa marquez and Dos santos and they have 2 more in stutgart who won the bundesliga. the only american players in european soccer other than Adu are getting regulated.. from the premier league

I think the reason is that soccer is a third world country sport and there is very little interest in it in the USA!

I am english, so i think our national team sucks, but if i was any other nationality, i would think my team was the best in the world. It's a football mindset, that Mclaren has ruined for me.

yeah i know! I have no relatives in Mexico i am 0% Mexican. I root for USA every time they play but i know its not gonna happen. USA beat mexico once but Mexico beat them a lot more and USA isnt better than mexico in football(soccer). Mexico does have world class players like Rafael Marquez, Gio dos Santos, Cuathemoc Blanco, Guillermo Franco, Nery Castillo and much more.

We beat mexico more than they beat us. Think that is well documented.
As for the skill level difference you get no argument from me. The problem with american soccer players is that the sport isn't the only sport we play here. Soccer competes with baseball, football,basketball, and to some small extent hockey. What else does mEXICO HAVE BESIDES BASEBALL adn soccer? Soccer is also a sport that most regard here as not really a manly sport. I love it, but talk with many Irish, Italian, German first and second generation people and tell me how many know a soccer player outside of Pele or Beckham. The problem is kids don't stick with the game past a certain age gere because they have other options.

So the amercian player isn't on a championship la liga or premiership team? What does that have to do with anything? No one is going to tell you american players are more talented in the sport, if they do they are smoking something. You ever watch the red bulls? I want to poke out my eyes watching any game from that league. I am from New Jersey, i find it hard to root for them.
