soccer and hockey?

barcelona wins today in the match with manchester united, the new york rangers will win tonight against the pittsburger penguins

reasoning: all the teams i support are cursed, and this happened last week when liverpool drew chelsea 1-1 and then the caps lost in game 7.

i do have a question about something i heard last night, and it's not in the soccer section cause i doubt they follow hockey. and there was the question earlier about the montreal canadiens and their soccer connection last evening.

anyways what do you think about MLSE thinking/getting involved in buying the ever dying team that is the TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS?

i think it'll probably be another liverpool debacle with hicks and gillette, and i think mlse's thinking is montreal has an epl soccer team so why don't we get one too and mess them up.
no it didn't. i'm so used to typing fast that i don't check things i type. i'm not the best typer, yeah and i failed english 101 so i'm cursed to speak english like a 13 year old for life.
good points bill. i think any organization (who had the money) could have brought an mlse team to toronto if they had wanted. it wasn't something that people here would not support. have you seen the tfc play though? and i don't think that it would reach the heights of the liverpool debacle...which may be an anomaly...considering that i don't see the hotspurs moving up in the standings either way. i don't like that more international businessmen are buying soccer teams, and i don't think that mlse buying tottenham will make a difference. that's why i'm complaining, not cause i hate mlse (which i do), but i seriously think they don't know how to manage/run a football club.
i'm a man u fan, and i don't HATE liberpool but i absoluterly HATE chelski and arsenal, so yeah. anything over those two teams, even if that means liverpool beats them.
the money that mlse would be using to buy tottenham better be coming from their tfc, condo plan, and teachers pension plan fund. it better not be coming from anything leafs related.

I think the Hicks/Gillette circus is an anomaly. Especially Hicks, he's not in it for the sporting aspects, it's just another business venture to him.

On the other hand MLSE already owns Toronto FC and I know MLS demands that any ownership deals involve solid citizens. If MLSE has interest in Hotspur, it can only help MLS. In the meantime, Chivas has a subsidiary franchise based in LA, and a few years ago, MLS announced some sort of deal with Bundesliga.

All in all, I doubt that Tottenham has anything to fear.
