| Autralian English question? This is just a silly curiosity I have. What Americans call soccer is called football in england, and Americans refer to American Football as football. Now, how is this in Australia? Do they say soccer, and Call Football their own Australian football? I don't really get it. |

| Autralian English question? We call it Soccer, but I don't use that term myself. Our national team is called the Socceroos, but it has Australian Football on the front of their jerseys. Because we have different codes, the papers have split them up using the following titles. Football = Soccer AFL = Australian Rules NRL = Rugby League Super 14 = Rugby Union What you guys call football, we call it gridiron. For the record, I call it football. Go Liverpool and Celtic |
