what time of the year is the college athletics season in the US?

I am from Australia and I want to do a student exchange to USA when the soccer, football, and basketball seasons are.

Is it in the first half of the year, or second?

Football is Fall. Begins around August, ends in September (sort of), but bowl games continue until the last one which is the first week of January

Basketball is in the Winter:Begins in December and goes until March.

Soccer I think has seasons in the Fall and Spring, although I'm not sure about this./

Basketball exhibition games start at the end of October, regular season begins in late November and runs through the first part of March. Playoffs are at the middle of March.

Football pre-season starts in Mid August. Regular season is from the beginning of September to the end of November. Bowl games are at the end of December ti the first week of January.

Men's and women's soccer follows the football schedule, but the playoffs are a bit earlier.
