still have the war banter? That us English have with them? I've often wondered if the scots,welsh or irish see themselves as being part of wars

I fly to Argentina on business occasionally and they never mention the war. I think you English are pre-occupied by wars and history when the other countries are into sport. That is why you will never win a World Cup again because your fans and media on the whole try to wind up the opposing side with dirges from a bygone era and all the while they really motivate the other side thus galvanising their spirits and will to win.
We Scots are welcomed the world over and rightly so the Tartan Army is THE best international support in the world, so colourful and full of fun(drink hahaha) so we never upset the host country or try to humiliate them.
When we had to go to war however you will see in the annuls of history we more than did our part but long may the world live in peace as that time was a terribly destructive part of European history.

No, because unlike the English we realise those wars are in the past & we don't like to go on about them since they are history. We'd rather build bridges with other fans than go out & fight them like your classic football hooligan.

Part of the wars !!!!! I think you will find our regiments are always sent in first , while you drag your heels. Questions like this make us cheer Germany and Argentina when they play Engerrrrrrland.

i've been to wales fixtures against both germany and argentina and i can't say i noticed anything.
win,lose or draw,it doesn't matter to us.we'll have a party anyway.

Ive lived in Germany, and although a few Germans dont like the Brits or Yanks most of them are pretty nice people and dont talk about the War, they had nothing to do with it and its only people like the English who like to keep reminding people of the fact.

And anyway when it comes to playing you lot, I support any team that plays England, Germans and all.
