No doubt. That's why it's a little ridiculous.

Dica, the Romanian international centerforward/attacking mid is in discussions with AEK. These are all rumours I've been reading in the Greek papers... we'll see how many actually pan out.

Here's more info on Dica. I would love to see him come to AEK, but I'm pretty sure he'll go to a "bigger" club. Rangers are rumoured to be courting him. Let's see.

AEK once again have their eyes set on Vargas. They were after the 25 year old Uruguayan in the summer but he went to Monaco. He's not getting much playing time there, not having a lot of success, and apparently he spoke to AEK defender Martin Pautasso on the phone about coming to AEK. He wants out of Monaco because he's not playing, but Belgian club Genk is also after him.

Also, rumours about Mondaini will not go away, and Australian international John Aloisi's name keeps resurfacing... Maybe some Australian members can shed some light on his situation. I heard he had some injury problems in the summertime.

I haven't seen Montaini play at all, and I've only seen Vargas once, but they are really highly touted.

If they live up to their potential, they will be impact players, in the starting 11.

I have heard of these boys. Potential, yes, however, unproven as of yet. I think this is a bold, but very calculated move. It will pay off for the Greeks.

AEK has signed Pantelis Kafes (formerly of Olympiakos) on a 2.5 year contract. He is AEK's first big signing of the winter period.

Kafes was part of the Euro 2004 champion squad. He is a central midfielder and is equally strong defending and attacking.

I gotta say, he looks great in the colours.

Looks like Delibasic and Udeze will be released. That will free up a foreigner spot.

On another note, AEK are supposedly still after Ze Meyong (Cameroonian international) and Mondiani who has been mentioned in earlier rumours.
