Zikos Returns to AEK

Former Greece midfielder Vassilios Zikos has rejoined AEK Athens FC on a two-year deal after four seasons with AS Monaco FC.

This is a HUGE acquisition Zikos left Monaco on top (and not being cut or benched like so many other soccer studs have in the past). He still has years left to him and he will be an unbeliveable presence for AEK. This guy is the best player to not play for Greece during the 2004 EURO.

So far this has been one of AEK's best signings. Zikos has been everything the club could have hoped for. What a solid player and great performances in the Champions League.

This is huge. How Demis pulled this off I do not know. Let me put this in perspective for our non Greek buddies as this is not an exclusive site for us Greeks. Zikos was captain of Monaco. A serious team in the Champions League int he past. The only thing that kept him from the Greek National team was a row with Otto. God only know how much more talented the NT would have been with him.

I am so stoked for AEK. This really should help them a great deal. A huge coup for Demis to get him.
