I think AC Milan might have been banned in 1980 when the team was found guilty of being involved with a gambling incident when they tried to fix some of their games - but that ban was not just an Israel ban if Israel banned them at all. Otherwise ivri is probably right and you have the story backwards.

Good Luck!!!

I don't follow football at all sorry but have searched for you for some time now: All I could find was this, Israel Sports Chairman Threatens UEFA - UEFA banned the Israeli teams from playing their home legs in European competitions inside the country.UEFA has a lot on its mind lately. Not only that the European body will have to give AC Milan a verdict by the end of the day concerning their participation in the Champions League, but they will also have to convince the Israeli Football Association (IFA) that their latest measure – all international matches of Israeli teams are to be held outside the country – is a fair one.
It seems that the UEFA banned matches from being played in Israel , updated one minute ago. Cheers!

Ivri you really should do research before you give an opinion, yes there is a boycott but thats far from being a ban! If you read the Israeli article I left as a source the reason for the ban is that the UEFA is afraid for the football players to play in Haifa so close to Lebanon and it being a disputed Hotspot in the world in that area. Also they banned Tel Aviv due to the same security issues, you only make a good point as to why it is boycotted , 2 Palestinian children were playing football not far from an Israeli checkpoint and were shot to death, thats why there is a boycott. Do you need the source?

"The Israeli army claimed that the soldiers shot dead 11 year old Khalil in self-defense. However, a report issued by the Israeli human rights group, B’Tselem, denies the Israeli army’s claims and accuses it of lying. Its investigation confirms that the 11 year old victim was playing football with his friends when he was fatally shot. The report further proves that he did not pose any threat to the Israeli soldiers’ lives, who were positioned in a watchtower a kilometer away..."

You seem to have it backwards.

There is a despicable boycott of Israel being carried out by Arab hate groups.

A crackpot organization called "Innovative Minds" and the "Islamic Human Rights Commission" (now there's an oxymoron) called on campaigners to contact Arsenal Football Club and protest their decision to sign a sponsorship deal to promote Israel as a tourist destination.

Arsenal's managing director, Keith Edelman at a press conference in Israel explained how Arsenal could help sell Israel: "We are the largest club in London and have 30 million fans around the world. We are in the forefront of the anti-racism campaign in England and have an excellent brand that can promote any product... we will assist Israel become a more popular destination". He also promised "when we find the time, club representatives and players will come to visit Israel,
