Yes, Bake was sacked after the riots outside the stadium in Patra.

As it looks like, he never understood which team he was coaching. I don't think he knew what Panathinaikos really means, after saying that the match with Metalurg is going to be difficult. At the game he replaced Romero and Tziolis with... Darlas and Andric while we were in the last quarter and the score was 1-1!!! Like we were playing with Barcelona and we wanted to keep the draw! This action costed a lot to him, if you would see the face of Vardinogiannis when he made the substitution you would understand.

Vardinogiannis must understand that coaches with this Scandinavian mentality are not apropriate for Panathinaikos and most of Greek clubs. Bake was sitting in the bench during the whole game and he was not moving. Greek clubs need a coach to scream to the players and to higher their morale - the morale of Panathinaikos player is low right now. A Mediterannean or a South American coach would be the best for this.

Backe's replacement is not decided yet (assistant Jasminko Velic is our temporary coach). I think it must be a Greek coach or a coach who knows well the situation in Panathinaikos and the Greek league, because, as I said in the other thread, the situation in Panathinaikos is critical now and there is no time for "experiments".
