| He will do OK. It is tough, because non fans will expect him to score a lot of goals and he doesn't do that. But to true fans of soccer, it will be a joy to watch someone that good regularly. Ultimately his success and what he is able to do here will determine what will happen with other players in the future looking to wrap up their career, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Figo, etc. If they see that Beckham was able to succeed here, and make money off of endorsements then , they will ultimately follow suit. But if Soccer doesn't get the exposure, then no other european star will follow suit. Beckham will win a title or two, but will need a good forward to be succesful. |
