American talent to play alongside well established Mexican players, aside from Chivas which depends only its successful Mexican youth program, thus the advantage goes to teams such as America,Chivas and Pachuca. FMF sends teams to S. America for LIbertadores and Sudamericana( Pachuca current champions). FMF teams have risen to the challenge in these tournaments facing power-houses like Boca and Santos to name a few. FMF has benefited from the competition as will MLS with Superliga. It was about time FMF and MLS squared off and while at first it might be in the FMF favor . Real winners are US and Mexico soccer fans. As great as rivalry between America vs Chivas, FMF vs MLS great potential. |
