Listen. We can't just assume that Barcelona will win the Spanish League. Just look at Real Madrid from 2003 - 2006. During that time, they got Beckham, Zidane, Raul, Casillas, Figo, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos... but what did they achieve? Only the CL though and nothing more.

Look at Barcelona during the 2003 - 2006 campaign. They were victorious and teams would tremble. This year? 6 losses and knocked out by Liverpool in the last 16 after they signed older star players like Thuram and Zambrotta. Where are the younger players? With older star players like Henry and Abidal coming, we could just hope that Barcelona would learn from Madrid's lesson.

Look at Chelsea two years ago and last year. They were feared in the premier league. They had an abundance of players younger than 25 or slightly older. After Shevchenko and Ballack arrived, it looks like their tempo had gone slightly lower.

Of course, I'm not trying to be a pessimist or something like that but I want you all to know, teamwork is the best. Full with star players could spell trouble to the team and that had been shown by Real Madrid and several others.

Well, all those were for the Spanish League. How about CL? Teams with players that had more experience in battling the european giants would probably win the CL. Young players would not be that usefull in CLs. This has been shown by the 3-0 loss Man U endured and the defeat of Liverpool, both by the widely experienced team of AC Milan. It seems that experience do lot more than speed.

That said, I favour teams with a balanced concentration of young players and older ones, star players and normal ones, to win the league. I can't tell now because the transfer period is not over yet but if I were to say, it would be Barca for Spain and probably Man U for CL as Man U has quite a balance for older and younger ones while choosing Barca was because of their splendid teamwork.

Keep these in mind. All the best for you football fans out there, peace. Joga bonito!
