Nando looks to be going on loan to ex-gers manager Dick Advocaats' zenit st. petersburg for 200k(sterling). he was sent home from the rangers tour of south africa after drunken problems on board a flight to SA. paul le guen sent him home from the tour and Nando signed himself into a rehab clinic down south. he then came back to murray park to have talks with both Martin Bain(rangers director) and manager Le Guen, they all spoke and it was agreed that Ricksen should look to find a new club and make a fresh start at a new team that would benefit both his career and fernando as a person. the deal with zenit includes a friendly against the russians that will take place on August 23rd at Ibrox.

Good luck to Fernando, i only wish he could of sorted himself out and stayed with rangers as on his day he was a great player and was the key part in captaining and winning the league for rangers in season 04/05. i think he still has a lot to offer and if he keeps on the straight and narrow he will be part of the dutch national team once again.
