| Do I have a chance at getting into the University of Michigan? As I'm sure you know Michigan is a pretty hard school to get into. However, it's acceptance rate is 50% (that includes in-state students, so it is a little bit lower for out of state), but that is still pretty high. 35% of the student body is out of state, which is pretty high for a public school like U of Michigan.
What this means...your ACT score is high (98th percentile) your GPA is quite high and you took a ton of AP courses. Your ECs are pretty good.
I think you have done everything possible you can to get in (assuming you have good essays, teacher recs, etc.)
I would give your odds at 75-80% chance of getting in. MIchigan would love a student as dedicated as yourself. I also live out of state and know kids with lower GPAs and lower ACT scores who have gotten in from my school. |
