| Greece in Qualifying for EURP 2008
Greece dominated the qualifiers and lost only one game (a huge embarrassement to Turkey), and an away draw to Norway. This is quite a different team that won the 2004 Euro. The new strikers are much more deadly. Gekas, the Bundasleaguers Leading scorer last year, and Amanatidis, are quite strong and will cause some confusion amongst other teams defenses. Samaras is capable, but is not as strong as Gekas. Charisteas, touch and go with this fellow. SHows signs of very strong play, then floats at other times. Still an asset. |
